What is poker rake?

The 'rake' is the amount of money the poker room charge from each pot, as a fee, for hosting the poker game. The amount of rake that is deducted from each pot varies according to the game limits, but it generally ranges from $1-$3 per hand.

What is MGR? (Monthly Gross Revenue)

MGR stands for Monthly Gross Revenue . This is the financial number your rakeback is based on. The MGR is your contribution of the rake generated in pots you play minus any deductions the poker rooms take out, such as bonuses or tournament entry fees. Some poker rooms deduct all of those items as fees while others do not deduct any. It is always best to make sure what is deducted from your Monthly Gross Revenue at the poker room of your choice to make sure you are capitalising on your rakeback potential.

How often are my Rake Back stats updated on RakeKing.com?

We update your rake back statistics  every day. You will find your daily stats under the account section of RakeKing.com. Some poker rooms don't update there stats on a daily basis so we can not provide you information on your play. There will be a note explaining there payment processes when you join the poker room. There are sometimes delays with the rake back stats updating. These delays are out of our control and are usually take to update no more than a two of days.

When are Rake Back Payments Made to Me?

The rake back payments to your RakeKing account are paid once a month.  The payment is made during the second week of the month based on the previous month's rake back that you have earned. For example, if you have accumulated $450 in rake back in December, this amount will be paid to you in January. We make sure that we pay your rake back payments to you by the 15th of each month.

Some online poker rooms automatically make the rake back payment to your poker account. This daily rake back payment happens automatically and is paid into your player account at the poker room you are playing in. With this rake back payment solution you gain more money back and at a quicker return which allows you to play more and earn more money.

Sometimes the rake back payments will be made even later than the 15th due to the poker rake back payment schedule that the chosen poker room or network may have in operation.  This is beyond our control, but please be assured we track every payment and have been paying rake back since 2005, so your money is safe with us.

Note: You must have a rake back balance of $50 or more from the previous month in order to receive your rake back payment. If you are owed less than that, it will be carried over to the following month and will paid once your total has reached $50.

Can I Participate in Promotions and Bonuses at a Poker Room if I Receive Rakeback?

You as a member of RakeKing.com will be able to receive bonuses offered by the poker room and any other promotions offered by your chosen poker rooms. By getting a bonus and rake back at an online poker room does not effect your RakeKing account or the poker rooms account in any way.

Please be aware that online poker rooms deduct bonuses from your Monthly Gross Rake. By getting both rake back and a bonus plan with an online poker room is even more attractive to rake back players. If bonuses are deducted don't worry, it is much better to receive bonuses and rake back than either by themselves.
